Our California Dream

For generations, people have come to California in search of a better life.  From across the country, and the globe, we came here to in search of a better life, to escape poverty and to escape violence.  And once here we began to share in the remarkable prosperity of this the Golden State.  

Through hard work and sacrifice, people were able to begin to achieve their California Dream.  Yet despite our best efforts the inspiring California Dream that drew us here today seems diminished.  After all these years, we are strangers to one another, unable to work together to tackle the issues that matter to our families.

We need to revive our state’s politics, to rekindle the ‘can do’ spirit that made this place wonderful.  In this global age, our lives are bound together more than ever before.  We can only rise together.  No one succeeds alone.
